DOING GOOD IS NORMAL
Audiovisual Installation

To mark Jonas Mekas Poetry Day, the Jonas Mekas Visual Arts Center in Vilnius presents an audiovisual installation that combines various texts read by the artist himself – poetry from the collections “Idylls of Semeniškiai,” “Letters from Nowhere,” and others.
Mekas not only filmed others extensively, He was often captured himself.

We can still meet Mekas appearing
In yet unseen video recordings.
And it seems like Mekas is still alive,
Still filming and creating – never having left.
He sits and reads, and sits and reads.
And plays music and sings.
Never having left.

The installation will be on display until September 28.
Admission is free.
