- April 1. The Fluxus Bridge was unveiled in Užupis to symbolically celebrate the return of Jonas Mekas’ and Jurgis Maciunas’ works to Lithuania.
- August 26. The JMVAC, together with the string orchestra of Camerata Klaipėda presented composer Vidmantas Bartulis’ and video installation artist Julius Zis’ work Sapnai (Dreams) at the Pažaislis Music Festival. This was an inter-disciplinary project uniting music and video art in the style of Jonas Mekas. Violinist Vilhelmas Čepinskis, pianist Petras Geniušas and the string orchestra of Camerata Klaipėda executed the performance.
- September 16-26. In a joint project with the international small films festival Tinklai (Nets), the JMVAC presented audiences in Vilnius and Klaipėda with honorary guests and representatives of New American Cinema filmmaker and director Adolfas Mekas and experimental filmmaker Pola Chapelle.
- November 4. Grand opening of the JMVC Gallery at Gynėjų g. First exhibition: Avant-garde. From Futurism to FLUXUS. The exhibition presented the most important members of the avant-garde movement and a variety of art forms: films and their stills, literature, works and documents from the Fluxus movement, sculptures.
- November 4. The evening was devoted to a special program developed by Jonas Mekas at the Skalvija movie theatre of the most important films reflecting the aesthetic and world-view of the avant-garde.
- November 8. Celebration of George Maciunas’ birthday.
- Each Saturday evening at the JMVAC there were screenings of Fluxus, Jonas Mekas’ and other avant-garde films as part of the program A Different Kind of Movie for Saturday that was geared for fans of non-Hollywood films.
- December 1. A select program from the 2004 international shorts film festival Tinklai.
