On Friday, March 6 at 6 pm, the exhibition “Modestas Saukaitis: Between Gold Dust and Fluxus” opens at the Jonas Mekas Visual Arts Center.

Modestas Saukaitis (1967–2024) was an artist, restorer, and interior designer who, together with Gintaras Sodeika, curated the first Fluxus exhibition in Lithuania. The exhibition reveals the artist’s unique creative path, combining meticulous mastery of historical techniques with an everyday aesthetic inspired by the Fluxus movement.

The show features verre églomisé works, assemblages, archival Fluxus material, and video documentation, as well as an overview of the artist’s work in interior design and restoration.
